OUR STORY

Preserving Traditional Goods

In 2014, we didn’t realize we would start a now 10 year long endeavor by putting out an instagram post. We offered to make custom Southwest jewelry for a limited time and the response was so surprising that we decided to lean in and make a go of it. Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, I was pursuing a career in music, living in Nashville, TN, doing photography and video work on the side. I never expected I would become a full time silversmith and business owner.

Years earlier, my father, also a silversmith, passed down his knowledge of the craft. We would later find out that metalsmithing played a prominent role in our family heritage having descended from the so called, “Sena Blacksmithing Dynasty”, who were, at least in part, responsible for teaching the Navajo how to work in metals during the 1800’s.

Preserving Traditional Values

The early days were spent working out of a basement where me and my wife Bree were living. After a few conversations and a divine encounter causing me to realign myself with my Christian faith, we decided to head back home to Albuquerque.

In 2020, we were unexpectedly thrust into the cultural spotlight, subjected to a “cancel” campaign after not posting a black square, showing solidarity with BLM inc. on our instagram profile. Our refusal, due to our Christian convictions, caused many caught up in the spell of the movement to slander our good reputation, organize a boycott, pressure stockists and friends to disassociate from us, all in an attempt to shut us down. They failed. We’re still here and stronger than ever. The only thing they succeeded in was making us louder about what fuels us. Christ is King!
